Slug.
Damn! The DsO influence is extremely strong here, right down to the vocals. Hopefully this gets more attention, as this band means business.
Favorite track: Crown The Radiant Dead.

The crushing sounds and vocals of this track take some getting used to, but once you are there you will never return to the simplistic trash of this modern day.
The right order of the lower material is to express the higher principle, as microcosmic creation, fractal at every scale. As earth fails to express what heaven informs, the stable space splits and the border waters race to flood.
Incongruous poison, feeding the leprous decay. Head nor hand can stitch the wound, gaping ever wider. Numberless principalities groan a song of hunger, scented to the laceration.
They rise from the swirling ocean, the serpent tides, to pull the stone asunder, into the dark and deep. Ever downwards, where no breath can reach, my branches of failure, my mouth unable to speak.
Pull me from the water, breathe into me
Crown the mountain, drape the body.
We are the drifted wood, once stretched between the sky and soil, now spat from the sea, unstable and unknown. Gather our bodies of death, bind us to the radiant vine which reaches from zenith to nadir. For the time is short, and every torch is encompassed by darkness, thick with whispers of barbarous incantations. Lonesome souls and barren wombs lurch forth to spread despair.
Silently turning within the wheel, destruction and birth in infinite negation. Blinded in exile, stumbling, pointless inversion of all.
Northern bows take aim at their mired cities, the limbs straining and shuddering, strings pulled taut by the weight of their wickedness. Their tongues at the periphery, to taste what stands outside. Dancing and dreaming unceasingly, as the temple walls are collapsing.
Mending fundamental disfigurement, the ideal manifests and is destroyed, such that the uncreated principle is annulled. Not subject to the failures of the lower, the ideal is restored, and the immaterial seed is in turn usurped by the ideal. The narrow door is opened.
Come, o mighty one, set these broken bones, swallow all this sorrow. Fallen to obsidian death, and conquered the cursed sting. Risen with abiding souls gathered like dust anew.
Still my trembling hand, lift these weary eyes.
For the time is short, and I am encompassed by darkness.

Brilliant, magical. Vivid soundscapes and feelings. Perfection! But, I have to admit, listening and taking a christian metal album into my collection is not something that I would normally do. Nonetheless, the music won me over, so I ignored everything else. Within Thy Wounds crafted here a transcendental, emotional atmosphere. Nothing can beat this. Umbra Cornuta

I picked this up a few years ago, at a time when I really needed an album like this. To this day it is still something that I love to play beginning to end and feel every second of it.
Such a amazing expression of humbling yourself lyricwise mixed with the most unique style of Black Gaze I've ever heard. billyspears
